What to expect and FAQ's

Questions about Hyperbarics.

  • What happens during a Hyperbaric Oxygen Session?

During a 30 - 45 minute session, you’ll relax in a comfortable chamber either laying down or resting in a comfy chair. No special preparation is needed other than removing your shoes.

  • Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Sessions Safe or Everyone?

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions are a safe choice for most people. However, those with chronic ear problems, smokers or those with pacemakers should consult a healthcare provider before therapy.

  • Does Insurance Cover Hyperbaric Oxygen Sessions?

Reimbursement for hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessons may be available for certain conditions with a doctor’s prescription.

Check with your insurance carrier for specific details and coverage options.

  • What is the Difference Between Soft Shell and Hard Shell Hyperbaric Chambers?

The key function of a chamber is its ability to exert pressure, as this pressure helps drive oxygen into the body’s cells.

Hard-shell chambers can operate at higher pressures, but the real difference is the ability to hold pressure allowing oxygen deeper into the body’s tissues and cells.

Soft-shell chambers maintain the same atmospheric pressure we encounter in daily life. Since there’s no additional pressure, they don’t enhance oxygen delivery to the cells in the same way.

  • How should I prepare for the chamber session, and what amenities are available?

To ensure comfort, it’s recommended to wear clothing made of at least 50% cotton. Please remove any jewelry that can be taken off and come with a clean face, avoiding hairspray. For your entertainment, our chambers are equipped with speakers compatible TVs. Please leave lighters, vapes, or anything flammable in your vehicle before your session. Phones are not allowed in the chambers. We encourge you to bring a book and give your body time to relax. Feel free to reach out for more details!

Focusing on Off-Label, Non-Insurance Uses

Our facility uses FDA-cleared hyperbaric chambers in a wellness setting. While these chambers are FDA-approved for certain medical conditions, our use is considered ‘off-label’ because we do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. We use a FDA-cleared hard shell hyperbaric chambers designed for up to 2.0 ATA pressure; however, our sessions are conducted at a mild 1.3 ATA pressure to focus on general wellness and relaxation.
